Because they are small, prefabricated Nuclear SMRs can be manufactured and then shipped and installed at the point of load thus minimizing loss.

SMRs offer savings in cost and construction time, and can come in a variety of sizes and  technology utilized. These reactors could vary in size from tens of megawatts up to hundreds of megawatts. One or more could be sized specifically for a data center growth. Located near the data center there will be no transmission lines. It would be foolish to transmit power down 70 miles of high voltage transmission lines when an SMR will be point of load.
